YLI Silk #100 Thread

YLI Silk #100 is a 100% pure filament silk thread, 100 weight (Tex 12), available on 200m spools. The fine weight makes it well-suited to hand appliqué, heirloom stitching, and delicate background quilting, where the thread sits into the fabric and stitches remain discreet.

For hand sewing, a Sharps 11- or Appliqué 10- or 12-needle is recommended. For machine use, a Microtex 70/10 needle is recommended.
